About our storyteller: Michael “Donut” Donato

Michael "Donut" Donato is bashful about bios, so he tends to fluff them up. He tries to be active in the theatre scene, as long as big daddy Capitalism lets him. He has been doing (acting, writing, directing, reviewing, not all at the same time though) theatre since 2009. Through theatre, he has found passion in improv;  he performs with Think Fast Improv and The Improv Superette. He also helps run the Honolulu chapter of The Dinner Detective.  In most caffeine and sugar peddling circles and forums, he's known as Honolulu's most unavailable bachelor (married to the job, they say). Finally, he's looking for a D&D group. He was the DM of a group for four years, and since that campaign has ended he's been looking for a group since to fill a void in his small, tiny, Grinch-heart.

Special Guest Storyteller: Jason Miller
Jason Miller is the founder of Hawaiian Express Records, 808Shows & Sailor Jerry Festival with the goal to support bands and fans. He came here in 1992 on a UHM swimming scholarship. He joined KTUH as a student DJ, then Promotions Director. He launched Hawaiian Express Records in 1995 for bands, 808Shows in 2001 for fans, and Sailor Jerry Festival in 2015 for the Man (Jerry). Since 1995 Jason put out over 200 albums, promoted a few thousand events (with thousands of different bands from around the world) all “to support bands and fans”
